Goebel and Crooks Join T-Birds Scouting Staff
Goebel was with Regina Pats; Crooks is Lead Instructor at Mount Carmel Hockey Academy
KENT, July 23, 2018 — Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Bil La Forge today announced Craig Goebel and Jared Crooks have joined the team as scouts.
“Craig and Jared are two guys I am familiar with,” said La Forge. “Craig brings a lot of experience at the bantam and junior levels of scouting. Jared is a up and coming mind in the game.”
Goebel has been a scout for the Regina Pats for the last 10 seasons. Goebel will focus on pre-scouting T-Birds opponents during the regular season.
Crooks is the head instructor at the Mount Carmel Hockey Academy in Edmonton, a position he has held for last year five years. He played four seasons at MacEwan University. Crooks will focus on scouting bantam aged players in northern Alberta.
The T-Birds start the 2018-19 Western Hockey League regular season against the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday, September 22, at 6:05pm at accesso ShoWare Center.
T-Birds single game tickets for the 2018-19 regular season will go on sale August 22 at 10am online on the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office.
