Assistant Coach Matt Marquardt to Pursue New Hockey Opportunity
Marquardt was an assistant coach for three seasons with T-Birds
KENT, June 25, 2024 — Seattle Thunderbirds General Manager Bil La Forge today announced assistant coach Matt Marquardt is moving on to pursue other hockey opportunities.
“We want to thank Matt for everything he has done for us over the past three years,” said La Forge. “He was instrumental in helping us reach back-to-back WHL Championship Series including winning the franchise’s 2nd WHL Championship during the 22-23 season.”
“We’d like to thank Matt for the contributions he has made to the Thunderbirds over the last 3 years,” said Head Coach Matt O’Dette. “His dedication and work ethic have been instrumental in our success. While we will miss his presence, we wish Matt all the best in his future pursuits.”
The Thunderbirds 2024-25 Home Opener is set for September 28 against the Wenatchee Wild.
