Blazers Burn T-Birds
T-Birds have back-to-back home games this weekend
KAMLOOPS, November 20, 2019 — The Kamloops Blazers defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds 10-1 Wednesday night at the Sandman Centre.
The T-Birds are back at accesso ShoWare Center for games on Friday and Saturday. On Friday they play the Kelowna Rockets at 7:35pm and on Saturday they play the Saskatoon Blades at 6:05pm. Single game tickets are on sale online on the T-Birds website and at the accesso ShoWare Center box office.
Logan Stankoven scored at 7:10 of the first period to give the Blazers a 1-0 lead.
The Blazers took a 2-0 lead on a goal from Connor Zary at 3:58 of the second period.
Seattle cut the Blazers lead to one goal on an unassisted goal from Keltie Jeri-Leon at 8:11 of the second. Jeri-Leon raced to a loose puck along the right wing boards and created a two-on-one break with Reid Schaefer. Jeri-Leon skated into the right circle and beat Kamloops goalie Dylan Garand with a snap shot for his team leading seventh goal.
Kamloops took a 6-1 lead into the second intermission on goals from Zary shorthanded, Ryan Hughes, Martin Lang and Zane Franklin.
Franklin and Zary scored in third and Montana Onyebuchi added two goals for Kamloops.
The T-Birds are now taking orders for Flex-24 Ticket packages. Fans that purchase the 24-Flex Ticket Package will be able to select any available premium seat for any game, in any ticket combination, during the 2019-20 season.
