EVERETT, Wash. —<\/strong> Everett Silvertips head coach Steve Hamilton has been named the league’s recipient of the Dunc McCallum Memorial Trophy for WHL Coach of the Year for the 2025-26 season.<\/p>\n

Hamilton, in his second season with the team, led the Silvertips to a historic 57-8-3 record, surpassing the franchise mark for wins in a season and tying the league 68-game schedule mark. The Silvertips also set a 68-game schedule record for most road wins (29) and tied the overall Internet Era record, equalling the 2014 Kelowna Rockets and 2013 Portland Winterhawks.<\/p>\n

Everett finished with the league\u2019s fourth-best powerplay at 30.0% and fourth-best penalty kill at 80.2%. The team ranked best in the Western Conference and third-overall in goals-for (304) and best in the Western Conference and second-overall in goals-against (173).<\/p>\n

Hamilton has captured the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy for best regular season record in the WHL back-to-back seasons. Most recently, he led the Silvertips to their third Conference title in franchise history.<\/p>\n

PENTICTON, B.C. —<\/strong> The Everett Silvertips punched their ticket to the WHL Final for just the third time in franchise history with a 4-2 Game Four victory in Penticton over the Vees.<\/p>\n

Nolan Stevenson opened the scoring for the Vees 15:33 into play, potting a powerplay one-timer. Everett tied the game 4:01 into the second, as Nolan Chastko deflected a Brek Liske shot off an entry for his first goal of the Playoffs. Penticton reclaimed the lead at 5:02, as Jacob Kvasnicka netted his first and only goal of the series for a 2-1 Vees advantage through two periods.<\/p>\n

The Tips staged their 12th third period comeback victory of the season, with veteran winger Jesse Heslop lifting a backhander home at 11:05 to tie the game. A Matias Vanhanen redirection of a Brek Liske shot at 13:05 gave the Silvertips a lead they would not relinquish. Julius Miettinen chipped in an empty-netter at 18:13 to seal the 4-2 victory.<\/p>\n

The win marks the fourth series sweep in franchise history and first sweep outside of the Conference Quarterfinal round. Everett previously won the Western Conference in 2018 and in 2004.<\/p>\n

EVERETT, Wash. —<\/strong> Rylan Gould’s double-overtime winner lifted the Silvertips to a 5-4 victory in Game Two of the Western Conference Final over the Penticton Vees.<\/p>\n

Penticton struck first 2:20 into play, marking the first time the Silvertips trailed in a game since Game Four of the Western Conference Quarterfinal against the Portland Winterhawks. Everett responded less than a minute later, as Carter Bear buried a feed from Julius Miettinen for his third goal of the playoffs.<\/p>\n

Matias Vanhanen snuck a sharp-angle shot in for his eighth playoff goal at 18:35 for a 2-1 Tips lead through one period.<\/p>\n

Diego Johnson tied the game for Penticton 7:17 into the second, lifting a wrist shot over the glove of Anders Miller. Gould converted his first of two on the night at 15:51, a deflection of a Landon DuPont shot from the point on the powerplay snapping a six-game goalless drought.<\/p>\n

Brady Birnie’s second goal of the contest again knotted the score for the Vees 2:32 into the third period. Florida Panthers prospect Shea Busch beat AJ Reyelts with a wrist shot over the blocker for a 4-3 Silvertip lead 11:43 into the third. Ethan Weber forced extra time with the Vees’ net empty, crashing the net and burying a rebound for his third of the playoffs with 56 seconds left on the clock.<\/p>\n

Shots favored Everett 29-28 through 60 minutes of play. The Silvertips outshot Penticton 17-5 in the first overtime period without breaking through. Diego Johnson cleared the puck into the stands 5:41 into double-overtime, drawing a delay of game penalty. Gould forced a loose puck in the crease home at 6:41, sealing a 5-4 victory for the Tips.<\/p>\n

Everett outshot Penticton 7-0 in the second overtime. Anders Miller turned aside 29 of 33 in the win.<\/p>\n

EVERETT, Wash. —<\/strong> The Everett Silvertips have inked forward Charlie Barnes to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.<\/p>\n

“I’m really excited to be a part of the Silvertips organization,” commented Barnes. “It’s an honor. I can’t wait to play in front of Silvertip Country. I’m looking forward to meeting all the guys, developing as a player and having a great year in Everett.”<\/p>\n

Barnes, an ’09-born Bellevue, NE native, spent the 2025-26 season with the St. Louis Blues 16U AAA where he recorded 14 goals and 15 assists over 38 games. The 6-foot-0, 159-pound forward helped lead the Blues to the US 16U Tier-I National Championship tournament, where he was named an All-Star posting four goals and three assists in six games.<\/p>\n

“Charlie was a player we saw early on this season,” noted general manager Mike Fraser. “We were immediately drawn to his compete level and willingness to be hard on pucks, all while generating solid offense for his club. We’re looking forward to seeing him at training camp in August.”<\/p>\n

Barnes previously put up 21 goals and 47 assists over 73 games with the Blues at the 15U level in 2024-25.<\/p>\n

EVERETT, Wash. —<\/strong> Landon DuPont’s game-winner 29 seconds into overtime sealed a Game Five win for the Everett Silvertips over the Kelowna Rockets and a trip to the Western Conference Final.<\/p>\n

With the game scoreless heading into the third period, Carter Bear broke the deadlock with a shorthanded goal 11:34 into the final frame. Shane Smith knotted the score with the Kelowna net empty, sneaking a shot through Anders Miller with 1:13 left in the contest.<\/p>\n

DuPont potted the winner with a shot from the blueline, catching a redirection off a Kelowna defensive skate to beat Josh Banini and end the series.<\/p>\n

Miller turned aside 30 of 31 in the win. Banini finished with 53 saves on 55 shots.<\/p>\n

Everett allowed just nine goals in five total games in the series.<\/p>\n

The Tips now await the result of the Penticton-Prince George series to determine their schedule. Julius Miettinen opened the scoring just 1:04 into play, crashing the net and cashing in a rebound off a Carter Bear backhander for his eighth of the Playoffs. Matias Vanhanen followed up at 8:47 with a powerplay goal, fielding a point-blank feed from behind the net from Landon DuPont for his seventh of the postseason.<\/p>\n

A Brek Liske snipe at 14:10 in the first period put the Tips up 3-0, chasting Harrison Boettiger from the crease in favor of Josh Banini.<\/p>\n

The Silvertips outshot Kelowna 16-6 in the first and 11-5 in the second.<\/p>\n

Kelowna rallied in the third period, with Tij Iginla tallying a powerplay goal at 7:54. Hiroki Gojsic capitalized on a misplay in front of the net burying his first career playoff goal at 12:11. Kelowna sent the game into overtime with just 7.7 seconds remaining, as Shane Smith pushed a powerplay goal through a netmouth scramble.<\/p>\n

Iginla capped off the comeback 2:30 into overtime, chipping in a loose puck in front.<\/p>\n

EVERETT, Wash. —<\/strong> The Everett Silveritps captured Game One of the Western Conference Semifinal, besting the Kelowna Rockets 4-1 at Angel of the Winds Arena Friday night.<\/p>\n

Shea Busch opened the scoring with a powerplay goal at 11:50 in the first period, rifling a one-timer past netminder Harrison Boettiger. Ty Halaburda tied the game 23 seconds into the second period, converting on a turnover behind the Silvertips’ net.<\/p>\n

Everett reclaimed the lead 4:20 into the second, as Matias Vanhanen banged in a rebound off a Brek Liske shot for his first of two on the night. Julius Miettinen provided insurance at 16:14, burying a breakaway goal from an impressive Landon DuPont stretch pass.<\/p>\n

Vanhanen contributed an empty-netter with 1:43 remaining in regulation to complete the 4-1 win. Anders Miller stopped 21 of 22 in the victory. The Silvertips’ penalty kill came up clutch, denying all five powerplay attempts.<\/p>\n

Kelowna’s Tij Iginla was held off the statsheet for just the seventh time in 53 appearances between the regular season and Playoffs in the game.<\/p>\n
