Goaltender Beck Boiteau signs WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with Everett
EVERETT, Wash. — The Everett Silvertips have officially signed goaltender Beck Boiteau to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
“It feels amazing to be an Everett Silvertip,” commented Boiteau. “The people that I’ve met being here, they’ve all been so kind and welcoming. I feel like a part of the team right away. Everett is a super nice city. I’m excited to get to work.”
Boiteau, an ’06-born Medicine Hat, AB native, was originally selected with the 163rd-overall pick in the eighth round of the 2021WHL Draft. He spent the 2022-23 season with the Lethbridge Hurricanes U18 AAA, where he posted a 6-6-1 record with a 3.53 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage.
“It was evident Beck came into training camp prepared and ready to take the next step,” noted Silvertips general manager/head coach Dennis Williams. “He brings more depth at the goaltending position for us. We’re excited to welcome Beck and his family to the Silvertips organization.”
Boiteau logged an 8-6-1 record in his 2021-22 season with Lethbridge Hurricanes U18 AAA with a 2.78 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage. Prior to his time in Lethbridge, he played for the SEAC Tigers U15 AAA for two seasons.
“Beck is another great addition to anchor our future in goal,” praised Silvertips goaltending coach James Jensen. “He has size, athleticism and shows a strong commitment towards the hard work needed to become an everyday player in this league. I’m thankful to have guys like this in the works.”
By signing a Scholarship and Development Agreement, Beck Boiteau is guaranteed a WHL Scholarship for every year he plays in the WHL.
