As the Silvertips face-off against the rival Seattle Thunderbirds Friday night at 7:35 pm, we’re also proud to present our 2011-12 “Navy Night”. This special night will help us recognize the bravery and sacrifice of the men and women serving in the United States Navy right here in our local community through a number of different activities.
One of the featured events is a live swearing-in of 75 future sailors taking their oaths of enlistment on the ice during the first intermission. Navy representatives will also be on hand for a ceremonial opening puck drop just before the start of the game. You can also help support local military charities by purchasing our special “Navy Night” tickets, t-shirts, challenge coins and signed hockey sticks.
When you Click Here to buy lower-level seats to Friday’s game for just $20 each, $5 from each ticket sold will go to support a variety of military charities in our area. We’ve also got special Silvertips Navy Night t-shirts (only 300 available) and challenge coins (less than 200 available) available for $15 each. A series of 25 specialty team-signed Navy Night hockey sticks will also be on sale for $100 each, with 100% of those proceeds going to local military charities.
