Michael Devellano joined the Silvertips Scouting Staff in 2018-19.
Michael is an experienced coach, manager and scout in minor and junior hockey. He previously served as Director of Coaching and a member of the Board of Directors with Everett Youth Hockey and the Everett Tier 2 Jr. Silvertips program.
He implemented the Everett Development Model and helped grow the rep Tier 2 program to include six teams including four teams in the Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association (PCAHA) and produced both Tier 2 and B state championships at Bantam and Midget over the course of four years.
This included being the head coach of the State B Champion Everett Jr. Silvertips in his first year in Everett. Many of those players have gone on to have success at Tier 1, 2 and Elite programs in Everett and with other clubs. Everett subsequently had State B and Tier 2 Championship teams at Midget including the first ever national bound 16U Tier 2 state championship team.
Prior to working with Everett, Michael was both a General Manager and Assistant General Manager at Provincial Jr A with the Upper Canada Patriots and Milton Icehawks. He coached Midget and Minor Bantam AAA and AA hockey in the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL) with various teams including the Toronto Jr Canadiens, Mississauga Rebels, Toronto Royals and Cooksville Phantoms. He is certified with both USA Hockey and Hockey Canada as a coach.
He currently resides in Southern California and scouts the U.S. market for the Silvertips.
