EVERETT, Wash. – The Everett Silvertips, two-time Western Conference champions and seven-time U.S. Division champions of the Western Hockey League, announced in conjunction with the Western Hockey League that goaltender Dustin Wolf has been named WHL Goaltender of the Month, for the month of March 2021.
The Gilroy, Calif. native is 4-1-0-0 with a 0.59 goals-against average, .979 save percentage, and three shutouts to start the 2020-21 WHL Regular Season. Wolf recorded shutouts in three straight games to start the campaign, including a 22-save performance against Spokane on March 20, an 18-save effort at Tri-City on March 21, and another 30-save outing versus Tri-City on March 24. Two days later, the 6-foot, 168-pound netminder followed up on Friday, March 26 by turning aside 35 of 36 shots sent his way in a 2-1 overtime win against the Portland Winterhawks at Veterans Memorial Coliseum, also setting a new Silvertips goaltending record for longest shutout streak, spanning 216:27.
Wolf sits among the WHL leaders in all major goaltending categories, including GAA (third), SV% (third), wins (T-5th), and shutouts (first). He was selected by the Flames in the seventh round (214th) of the 2019 NHL Draft.
Originally selected by the Silvertips in the fifth round (104th) of the 2016 WHL Draft, Wolf has amassed a career record of 92-32-4-2 with a 1.80 GAA, .936 SV%, and 23 shutouts, three shy of the franchise and league record.
He was named WHL Goaltender of the Year and CHL Goaltender of the Year for the 2019-20 season.

ABOUT THE SILVERTIPS AND THE NHL
A total of 19 players have suited up in an Everett Silvertips jersey and advanced to play in the National Hockey League, since the Silvertips joined the WHL in 2003-04. Entering this season, the Silvertips have elevated 27 players to be selected by teams in the NHL Entry Draft, including eight over the previous three seasons. By the end of the 2019-20 season, all three Silvertips in the 20-year old category earned NHL entry level contracts: Bryce Kindopp (Anaheim), Wyatte Wylie (Philadelphia), and Jake Christiansen (Columbus). The Seattle Kraken, an expansion franchise scheduled to play 30 miles away from Everett at Climate Pledge Arena, will make their NHL debut in the 2021-22 season.
