Silvertips sign goaltender Carter Crawford to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement
EVERETT, Wash. — The Everett Silvertips have signed goaltender Carter Crawford to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
“I’m honored to officially sign with the Silvertips,” commented Crawford. “I didn’t know much about Everett before being drafted, but going through two training camps has shown me firsthand what a first-class organization this is for my personal development, both as a player and a person. From the incredible fans and city to my teammates, Everett bleeds hockey. I am all in to help deliver another championship to this city.”
Crawford, a 2010-born Okotoks, AB native, spent the 2025-26 season with the Okotoks Oilers U17 AAA where he posted a 6-9-2 record with a .901 save percentage and a 3.35 goals-against average. The 6-foot-0, 153-pound goaltender was selected with the 138th-overall pick in the sixth round of the 2025 WHL Draft.
“Carter had a tremendous training camp and we have been very impressed with his progression since we selected him,” noted general manager Mike Fraser. “Carter will play U18 in Okotoks this season and we wanted to get him into our pipeline of goaltenders. We’re excited to have him and his family on board.”
Carter Crawford is guaranteed a WHL Scholarship for every year he plays in the WHL by signing a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
