GAME RECAP: Winterhawks stage comeback to best Silvertips 4-2 in Everett
EVERETT, Wash. — Four unanswered goals from the Portland Winterhawks led to a 4-2 downfall for the Everett Silvertips at Angel of the Winds Arena Friday night.
Alex Swetlikoff opened the scoring for the Silvertips, using his speed to motor through the neutral zone with the puck and breezing past defenseman Ryder Thompson for a clear look at the Portland net. Swetlikoff slipped a low shot under the leg pad of Taylor Gauthier for his 24th goal of the season.
Late in the first period, Winterhawks defenseman Kurtis Smythe was assessed a major penalty and a game misconduct for a knee-on-knee hit thrown on Everett’s Michal Gut. On the ensuing major penalty, Jackson Berezowski banged in a rebound goal for this 35th tally of the campaign to give Everett a 2-0 lead after one.

Robbie Fromm-Delorme grabbed the lead for the Winterhawks, potting a bouncing puck for a 3-2 Portland advantage. James Stefan would contribute an empty-netter in the final minute of play to seal the game.
