AMERICANS DEFEAT SILVERTIPS 4-1 IN PRE-SEASON FINALE
Tonight at the Three Rivers Colliseum in Kennewick, WA the Everett Silvertips lose to the Tri-City Americans 4-1 in the final game of the 2004-05 pre-season. The Silvertips’ pre-season record sits at 2-1-2-1.
The Silvertips remained scoreless into the third period when forward Torrie Wheat put Everett on the board with an assist from defenseman Shaun Heshka on a power play goal. Goaltender Mike Wall played the entire game and tallied 24 saves on 28 shots. On the power play, the Silvertips went 1 for 8.
Tonight for the Tri-City Americans, Juraj Gracik accumulated 1 goal and 1 assist while goalie Carey Price made 10 of 11 stops on the puck.
The first game of the regular 2004-05 season starts on September 25th against the Kelowna Rockets in Kelowna, BC. The Silvertips’ home opener is scheduled for October 1st where they face off against an I-5 rival, the Portland Winterhawks.
