Victoria, B.C. \u2013 The Victoria Royals announced today that they have acquired 2007-born defenseman\u00a0Jonas Kohn<\/strong>\u00a0from the Regina Pats in exchange for a 2030 5th round selection.<\/p>\n

Kohn, who hails from Stillwater, Minnesota, played 39 games for the Pats in the 2025-26 season, scoring four points in that time. Prior to joining the WHL, Kohn, who stands at 6\u20194, 212 lbs., played for Stillwater High in Minnesota High School hockey, scoring 39 points (9 goals, 30 assists) in 47 games over the course of two seasons.<\/p>\n

Victoria, B.C. \u2013 The Victoria Royals announced the signing of 2008-born forward Filip Novak<\/strong> to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

\nNovak, who stands at 6\u20191, 198 lbs, is a Columbus Blue Jackets prospect who was selected 206th overall in the 7th round of the 2026 NHL Draft. Novak was acquired by Victoria in a trade with the Lethbridge Hurricanes which saw the Royals send 3rd round draft selections in the 2028 and 2030 WHL Prospects Draft for the Chomutov, Czechia based forward.<\/p>\n

 <\/br><\/p>\n

This season saw Novak split time with HC Sparta Praha\u2019s Men\u2019s and U20 teams, scoring 35 points (11 goals, 24 assists) in 37 games. Part of the way through the season, Novak was loaned to HC Stadion Litomirice in the Czech second league where he scored six points in ten playoff games.<\/p>\n

Victoria, B.C. \u2013 The Victoria Royals announced today that they have acquired 2008-born forward\u00a0Filip Novak<\/strong>\u00a0from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for Victoria\u2019s 2028 and a 2030 3rd round selections.<\/p>\n

Novak, who hails from Chomutov, Czechia, is a prospect for the Columbus Blue Jackets in the NHL, having been drafted 206th\u00a0overall in the 7th\u00a0round of the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. A product of the HC Sparta Praha system, he spent time this past season with the Men\u2019s and U20 side before being loaned to HC Stadion Litomerice in the Czech 2nd league. Across the leagues this year, he totalled 39 points (11 goals, 28 assists) in 48 games, and scored six points (four goals, two assists) in 10 playoff games.<\/p>\n

Novak has represented his native Czechia in a variety of international tournaments, including earning a silver medal at the 2024 Youth Olympic Games held in Gangwon Province, South Korea. The 6\u20191, 198 lbs. forward also played for Czechia at the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, capping off the tournament by scoring a point per game.<\/p>\n

Hailing from Most, Czechia, Peroutka grew up in the HC Litvinov system, playing this season primarily for the U20 team and making his Men\u2019s league debut this past February.
