Royals defeat Kelowna to open double-header
Victoria, BC — The Victoria Royals hosted the Kelowna Rockets at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre tonight for their annual Canadian Armed Forces Appreciation game. A hard-fought game saw the Royals kill 6/6 penalties to secure the 4-2 win in the first half of their double-header.
Hayden Moore earned the first goal of the game at 15:56 of the opening frame, with assists from Cruz Waltze and Layne Schofield, and the Royals held the 1-0 lead headed into the first intermission.
