Cole Prelusky Signs WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement
The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce the signing of Goaltender Cole Prelusky to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. The product of Calgary, AB., stands at 5’10” and 157 lbs.
The Royals selected Prelusky 62nd overall in the third round of the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft.
Prelusky has gone through the ranks at the Edge Hockey School in Calgary over the past two seasons as he suited up for their U15 Varsity Team (CSSHLV) in 2021-22 and their U15 Prep Team (CSSHL) this past season.
His .921 save percentage with the U15 Varsity Team in 2021-22 earned him the CSSHLV award for the highest save percentage amongst goalies in the league. His strong play during the season earned him a nomination for the league’s top goaltender.
Prelusky played in 20 games for the U15 Prep Team in 2022-23 in which he went 13-4-2 while boasting a 2.15 GAA and a .935 save percentage.
He also competed at the Alberta Cup this past spring in which he went 1-0-1 with a 1.50 GAA and a .946 save percentage.

The Royals open the pre-season on Saturday, September 9 on the road as they take on the Prince George Cougars before closing out the weekend on Sunday, September 10 against the Vancouver Giants.
Victoria wraps up the pre-season with a pair of games in the interior as they are slated to take on the Kamloops Blazers on Friday, September 15 before traveling down Highway 97 to take on the Kelowna Rockets on Saturday, September 16.
The Royals open up the 2023-2024 WHL Regular Season on Friday, September 22 against the Vancouver Giants on the road before traveling south of the border to take on the Everett Silvertips on Saturday, September 24.
