Following the conclusion of training camp, the Royals will take on the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights for the Clash of the Kingdoms series presented by Buddy Check for Jesse at the SOFMC. Virk, who hails from Surrey, B.C., was Tri-City’s top scorer last season, leading his team in goals (27), assists (38), and points (65) in 66 games. In his WHL career so far, Virk has totalled 111 points (49 goals, 62 assists) in 116 games played. Originally a third-round draft choice by the Americans in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft, Virk signed his WHL Scholarship & Development agreement part way through the 2024-25 season and made an immediate impact, scoring just shy of a point-per-game totalling 22 goals and 24 assists for 46 points in 50 games. An impressive scorer at every level so far, Virk lead the Yale Hockey Academy U15 Prep team in his WHL draft year by scoring with 72 points in only 29 games.  
“Savin has proven to be a top player in this league and we expect him to be a big part of our team.” said Royals General Manager Jake Heisinger. “Adding a player of his caliber to our group is an important move for us”.  
McKamey, who appeared in 48 games for the Royals last season, finished with six goals and 11 assists for 17 points in the 2025-26 campaign. The forward hailing from Cowichan Bay, B.C. was originally drafted in the second-round, 35th overall in the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.

Kohn, who hails from Stillwater, Minnesota, played 39 games for the Pats in the 2025-26 season, scoring four points in that time. Prior to joining the WHL, Kohn, who stands at 6’4, 212 lbs., played for Stillwater High in Minnesota High School hockey, scoring 39 points (9 goals, 30 assists) in 47 games over the course of two seasons.  
“Jonas brings an important element to our defensive group with his size and strength“ said Royals General Manager Jake Heisinger. “He is difficult to play against and is real steady in his own zone. We are excited to add him to our group”.

Novak, who stands at 6’1, 198 lbs, is a Columbus Blue Jackets prospect who was selected 206th overall in the 7th round of the 2026 NHL Draft. Novak was acquired by Victoria in a trade with the Lethbridge Hurricanes which saw the Royals send 3rd round draft selections in the 2028 and 2030 WHL Prospects Draft for the Chomutov, Czechia based forward.  
This season saw Novak split time with HC Sparta Praha’s Men’s and U20 teams, scoring 35 points (11 goals, 24 assists) in 37 games. Part of the way through the season, Novak was loaned to HC Stadion Litomirice in the Czech second league where he scored six points in ten playoff games.

Novak, who hails from Chomutov, Czechia, is a prospect for the Columbus Blue Jackets in the NHL, having been drafted 206th overall in the 7th round of the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. A product of the HC Sparta Praha system, he spent time this past season with the Men’s and U20 side before being loaned to HC Stadion Litomerice in the Czech 2nd league. Across the leagues this year, he totalled 39 points (11 goals, 28 assists) in 48 games, and scored six points (four goals, two assists) in 10 playoff games.  
“Filip is a dynamic offensive player that we feel will be a key driver in our forward group“ said Royals General Manager Jake Heisinger. “We are very excited to add him to our team”.  
Novak has represented his native Czechia in a variety of international tournaments, including earning a silver medal at the 2024 Youth Olympic Games held in Gangwon Province, South Korea. The 6’1, 198 lbs. forward also played for Czechia at the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, capping off the tournament by scoring a point per game.

Peroutka, who stands at 6’4, 194 lbs., was selected by Victoria with the 58th overall pick in the 1st round of the 2026 CHL Import Draft on June 30th. Hailing from Most, Czechia, Peroutka grew up in the HC Litvinov system, playing this season primarily for the U20 team and making his Men’s league debut this past February.

Proskurin, who hails from Moscow, Russia, is a St. Louis Blues prospect that was drafted 123rd overall in the 4th round of the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. Having been selected by Victoria with the 27th overall pick in the 1st round of the 2026 CHL Import Draft, Proskurin joins the WHL following his development with the MHK Atlant Mytischchi system.  
In Russia’s top junior league, Proskurin, a 6’1, 170 lbs netminder, tallied a .921 save-percentage and a 2.97 goals-against-average all while facing over 30 shots per game on average.]]>
