In his role with the Royals, Leeb will spearhead the Hockey Development Department, leading on-ice initiatives such as the Victoria Jr. Royals Program and development camps across the island, which all comprise of off-ice education for players to learn fundamental lessons through sport – including leadership skills, sportsmanship, growth mindset and perseverance.
“I’m excited to join the program because it’s dedicated to growing hockey on the island, giving back at the grassroots level and sharing self-leadership lessons that I feel would impact a young player. The lessons learned through hockey are translatable to any aspect of life when looking at success”, said Leeb.
Leeb, a new member of the Vancouver Canucks Alumni Association, amassed 169 points in 238 games, during 4 seasons in the Western Hockey League as a member of the Red Deer Rebels and represented Team Canada at the 1999 IIHF World Junior Championship.
