THE LAST TIME THESE TWO MET
KAMLOOPS
Just last night the Victoria Royals and Kamloops Blazers faced off at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, where the Royals cruised to a 6-1 win.
The Royals jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period off goals from Nate Misskey, Reggie Newman and Cole Reschny. In the second, Reschny added his second of the game off a nice give and go with Dawson Pasternak to make it 4-0. Midway through the third, Cole Reschny would complete the hat-trick, his first in the WHL, on a powerplay one-timer to put the Royals ahead by five. Just two minutes later, Conner Radke buried a backhand to crack the shutout and make it a 5-1 game. In the final two minutes of the game, after a nice interception, Logan Pickford buried the Royals sixth goal on a breakaway. The Royals would hang on to win 6-1 with Braden Holt making 29 saves on 30 shots.
