Hockey for All is a commitment to create a safe, inclusive space in hockey for every individual, regardless of background, ability, or identity. We believe hockey should be a place where everyone can thrive, feel valued, and belong to a vision that we know is shared by our community.
Friday’s 50/50 will benefit the Canadian Blind Hockey Association.
Team Matchups
This week will feature the first meeting of the season between the Cougars and the Royals. After a tight divisional race that came down to the wire last season, Prince George (11-6-0-0) will be hunting for revenge. Much of the Cougars’ strength this season has been their special teams. Both their power play and penalty kill rank first in the Western Conference this year, and they have won their last two games.
Returning home on Friday, the Royals will clash with the Edmonton Oil Kings (14-4-1-1). Ranking first in the league, Edmonton will be a tough opponent. The Oil Kings lead the WHL in goals, and also have the most penalty minutes in the Eastern Conference. Strong defence and a reliable power play will be crucial to take home a win against Edmonton.
