Royals blank Blazers in pre-season play
Kamloops, BC – The Royals weekend in the Interior began this evening as the pre-season moved along with a matchup against the Kamloops Blazers.
It was a battle of two 2006-born goaltenders to start the evening as Jayden Kraus got the crease for the Royals while Jesse Sanche got the nod for the Blazers.
The first period offered just one entry onto the scoresheet as Teydon Trembecky opened the scoring late in the first period to give Victoria a one goal advantage heading into the middle frame.
The Blazers would make a switch in the net midway through the period as Matthew Kieper came in to replace Sanche.
Victoria would double up on their lead midway through the second as Tanner Scott gave the Royals their second goal of the evening with the man advantage.
Period three was a scoreless twenty as Jayden Kraus continued his solid play on route to a 29 save shutout as the Royals blanked the Blazers 2-0.
