Royals bested in battle against Penticton
Penticton, BC. — The Victoria Royals hit the ice in the Okanagan tonight, facing the Penticton Vees in their final meeting of the regular season. After a hard-fought 60 minutes of play, the Royals were outmatched by the Vees and fell 5-2.

The Vees got on the board with a power play goal from Jacob Kvasnicka at 8:07 of the second period, and back-to-back Penticton goals around the 15-minute mark of the frame brought the score to 3-1 Vees after 40 minutes of play.
Roan Woodward struck early in the third period, assisted by Timofei Runtso and Wyatt Danyleyko, to bring the Royals back within one. The Vees reclaimed their two-goal lead with a goal from Tristan Petersen at 14:24, and sealed the game with an empty-net goal in the final minutes of the frame to bring the final score to 5-2.
