Recap: Royals (6) @ Americans (2) – January 11th, 2025
Kennewick, WA – The Victoria Royals and Tri-City Americans met at the Toyota Center tonight. Nolan Stewart and Brandon Lisowsky each scored twice to lead the Royals to a 6-2 victory.
Nolan Stewart opened the scoring for the Royals at 9:54 of the first frame, assisted by Seth Fryer and Landon Young. Less than three minutes later, Hayden Moore extended the Royals lead to two, assisted by Keaton Verhoeff. Brandon Lisowsky gave the Royals a 3-0 lead with just over three minutes to play in the first period, assisted by Markus Loponen and Keaton Verhoeff. The Royals took the 3-0 lead into the first intermission.
Cash Koch cut the Royals lead to two with a shorthanded marker less than five minutes into the second period. Nolan Stewart restored the three-goal lead with his second of the night at 9:10 of the period, assisted by Escalus Burlock. Brandon Lisowsky’s second goal of the game, and second multi-goal game in two nights, extended the Royals lead to 5-1 at 16:43 of the frame. The Royals led 5-1 after 40 minutes of play.
Max Curran gave the Americans their second shorthanded goal of the night at 11:30 of the third period to cut the Royals lead to 5-2. Reggie Newman extended the Royals lead to 6-2 with an empty net goal at 17:07. The Royals would hang on to win the game 6-2.
