Victoria, B.C. — The Victoria Royals were at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre to host the Vancouver Giants for their fifth matchup of the regular season and the Royals’ annual Pink in the Rink game.
Teydon Trembecky tipped the first goal of the game at 9:44, assisted by Nate Misskey and Cosmo Wilson. The Giants tied the score just over two minutes later with a power play marker from Ty Halaburda. The teams remained knotted at one after 20 minutes of play.
Kenta Isogai scored the go-ahead goal for the Royals at 1:33 of the second period, assisted by Teydon Trembecky. At 16:08 of the frame, Teydon Trembecky netted his second goal of the game, assisted by Kenta Isogai and Nate Misskey, to give the Royals a two-goal lead going into the third period.
The Giants cut their deficit to one with a goal from Tyler Thorpe at 1:28 of the third period. Kenta Isogai responded with his second goal of the game just over five minutes later, assisted by Cole Reschny and Teydon Trembecky, to bring the score to 4-2. Markus Loponen scored an unassisted goal on the Giant’s empty net at 16:31 of the frame as the Royals defeated the Giants 5-2.
