Victoria, B.C. — The Victoria Royals hosted the Spokane Chiefs at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre tonight for game three of their second-round playoff series.
Teydon Trembecky opened the scoring with a goal at 9:40 of the first period, assisted by Cole Reschny and Kenta Isogai. Cole Reschny followed with a power play marker at 12:16, assisted by Justin Kipkie and Teydon Trembecky. Less than one minute later, Trembecky netted his second goal of the game, assisted by Cole Reschny and Logan Pickford. The Chiefs got on the board with a goal from Andrew Cristall at 16:18 of the frame, but the Royals held the 3-1 lead going into the second period.
After a scoreless second period, the Chiefs cut the Royals lead to one with a goal from Andrew Cristall at 6:49 of the third frame. The Chiefs tied the game at 15:07 of the period with a goal from Chase Harrington. Teydon Trembecky completed the hat trick with a power play marker in the last minute of the third period, assisted by Cole Reschny and Justin Kipkie, to secure the 4-3 victory for the Royals and give the team a 2-1 series lead.
