Recap: Royals (3) @ Silvertips (2) – Overtime – November 27th, 2024
Everett, WA – The Royals and Silvertips met for the first time this season on Wednesday night in Everett. Caleb Matthews had two assists, and Nate Misskey would seal the game for the Royals in overtime after they clawed back from a two-goal deficit.
Rylan Pearce opened the scoring for the Silvertips at 5:55 of the first period with his first goal of the year. Everett held onto the one goal lead through the first period.
Everett doubled their lead with a power play marker with less than one minute remaining in the second period. The Silvertips held a 2-0 lead after 40 minutes of play.
Teydon Trembecky cut the Silvertips’ lead in half with a power play goal at 1:12 of the third period, assisted by Reggie Newman and Caleb Matthews. The Royals’ second power play goal of the period would tie the game at the 5:28 mark and force overtime, coming from Brayden Boehm, assisted by Hayden Moore and Caleb Matthews.
Nate Misskey won the game for the Royals with five seconds remaining in overtime, assisted by Markus Loponen. The Royals won 3-2.
