Recap: Royals (3) @ Giants (4) – Shootout – February 15th, 2025
Langley, B.C. — Tonight, the Victoria Royals visited the Vancouver Giants at Langley Events Centre for their sixth meeting of the regular season, and the back half of a home-and-home series.
1:44 into the first period, the Giants opened the scoring with a goal from Mazden Leslie. After the early goal, both clubs combined for 16 shots in the period with neither scoring, leaving the Royals with a one-goal deficit after 20 minutes of play.
The Giants extended their lead at 17:31 of the second frame with a powerplay marker from Ty Halaburda. The Royals trailed 2-0 going into the third period.
The Royals got on the scoreboard at 1:29 of the final frame with a goal from Nolan Stewart, assisted by Cole Reschny and Hayden Moore. Minutes later, Kenta Isogai netted a goal to even the score at two with Brandon Lisowsky assisting. During a powerplay at 6:23, a one-timer from Justin Kipkie gave the Royals a one-goal lead with Teydon Trembecky and Cole Reschny assisting, but The Giants answered back at 16:25 to even the score with a goal from Ty Halaburda. The 3-3 score held after 60 minutes.
Neither team would score in overtime, forcing a shootout.
After three rounds of the shootout, a goal from Adam Titlbach sealed a 4-3 shootout win for the Giants.
