Victoria, B.C. – The Victoria Royals and Everett Silvertips met for the second time this season tonight at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre.
At 17:33 of the first period Brayden Boehm converted on the power play, assisted by Reggie Newman and Nate Misskey. Boehm’s marker would be the lone goal of the period, giving the Royals a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes of play.
After a scoreless second period, the Royals carried the 1-0 lead into the third frame. Carter Bear tied the game for the Silvertips on the power play with 6:50 remaining in the period.
The teams were tied 1-1 after 60 minutes of play and the game would need overtime. Keaton Verhoeff scored at 1:34 of overtime to win the game 2-1 for the Royals, with assists from newly acquired Royals players Kenta Isogai and Brandon Lisowsky.
