Victoria, B.C. — The Victoria Royals returned to the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre to host the Vancouver Giants in their final regular season home game.
Cameron Schmidt put the Giants up 1-0, scoring at 1:53 of the first period. The Giants struck again as Cameron Schmidt netted his second of the evening at 13:25 of the first period on the power play. The Giants led the Royals 2-0 heading into the first intermission.
In the second frame, the Royals cut the deficit in half as Brayden Boehm netted his eighteenth of the season at 1:45 of the second period, assisted by Nolan Stewart. After two periods of play the Royals trailed the Giants 2-1.
At 18:34 of the third period, Tyler Thorpe scored on the empty net sealing the win for the Giants. The Vancouver Giants maintained their lead, securing a 3-1 victory over the Victoria Royals.
