Four Royals Players Named to NHL Central Scouting Preliminary Players to Watch List
Four Royals’ players, Cole Reschny, Jayden Kraus, Spencer Michnik and Caleb Matthews were listed by NHL Central Scouting on their annual Preliminary Players to Watch List for the 2025 NHL Draft. The rankings include a letter grade for each player. Cole Reschny was listed as an A, Jayden Kraus as a C and both Spencer Michnik and Caleb Matthews as W ratings.
Cole Reschny, who hails from Macklin, Saskatchewan, has scored three goals and 12 assists for 15 points in 10 games so far this season. Reschny was also announced this week as set to represent the CHL at the inaugural 2024 CHL USA Prospects Challenge which will take place on November 26th and 27th.
Jayden Kraus is in his second season with the Royals, holding a 3.76 Goals Against Average and .877 Save Percentage, as well as a 3-1-2 record.
Spencer Michnik is in his first season with the Royals, after being acquired by trade in the off-season, having spent the 2023-24 season with the Seattle Thunderbirds. Michnik has a 2.14 Goals Against Average and 0.921 Save Percentage so far this season, with a record of 3-1-0.
Caleb Matthews is in his first full season with the Royals. Matthews has appeared in eight games, where he has two points.
