2023 Game Nights Schedule Is Here!
The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce their game nights for the 2023-24 season. Many fan favourite nights will make a return, with the fans also seeing an influx of new additions which will continue to help make the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre a place for everyone to enjoy. One of the notable updates to this season’s game nights is the new category of games, which go under the moniker of “Community Nights”.
“We are thrilled to bring back many of our most beloved theme nights such as Teddy Bear Toss, Kids’ New Year (Take Over) & Pet Appreciation, which always make our barn rock. We also felt it important that some of our nights be recognized for what they truly are, community nights. Pink in the Rink, Lunar New Year, Hockey is For Everyone, CAF Appreciation Night and our newest addition the Victoria Royals Foundation Night are all to bring to people together for causes and topics important for our community.” said Director of Marketing, Joel Rinne.
Some of the notable nights this season will feature a game on September 30 that will recognize Truth and Reconciliation Day, Marty’s Birthday on October 14, back-to-back nights of Hockey is for Everyone on October 20 and 21, Canadian Armed Forces Appreciation Night on November 10, The Teddy Bear Toss on December 16, Hockey Day in Canada on January 20 and 21, Pink in the Rink on February 2, Lunar New Year taking place on February 16 and 17 and Fan Appreciation wrapping up the season on March 22.
All 34 Royals’ home game nights at the SOFMC will have a focus of providing energy and a community atmosphere to the arena.
While the games above outline a list of major community night games, the Royals will also be hosting “Value Weekday” games which will help keep games affordable for everyone.
“All of these nights will include elements which help us strengthen our connection to our community which our club plays for. These nights are a way for our club to give back to our community. We are also rolling out some exciting updates to our game day experience, which combined with our team on the ice will give plenty of reasons to join us this season,” added Rinne.
