Teddy Bear Toss game this weekend
The Kelowna Rockets will host the Prince George Cougars for their annual Teddy Bear Toss Game this Saturday night at Prospera Place.
Fans are asked to bring a stuffed animal to the game with them, when they enter the building there will be plastic bags available for them to place their bear into. As custom has it, at the scoring of the first goal for the Rockets, the teddies will fly.
Following Saturday’s game, Rockets players will deliver stuffed animals from the game to children in the paediatric ward and elderly patients in the rehabilitation ward at Kelowna General Hospital Sunday morning.
Rockets players and Rocky Raccoon will also be skating with fans on Sunday at the Stuart Park outdoor ice surface from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in downtown Kelowna. Players will also be on hand at the 31st annual Tree Lighting Ceremony later in the evening at Stuart Park at 6:00 pm.
