Rockets Sign Goaltender Logan German to WHL Scholarship & Development Agreement
KELOWNA, BC — The Kelowna Rockets announced today that the club has signed 2010-born goaltender Logan German to a WHL Scholarship & Development Agreement.
German, a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, was selected by the Rockets in the sixth round, 121st overall, of the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft.
The 5-foot-11, 165-pound netminder has impressed the Rockets organization throughout each of the past two training camps and continued to make an impact during the 2026 preseason.
German appeared in Kelowna’s preseason opener against the Kamloops Blazers on September 4, turning aside 36 of 37 shots and finishing the night with a .973 save percentage.
German is coming off a standout 2025-26 season with the Winnipeg Bruins U18 AAA program. He posted a 20-1-1 record with a 1.22 goals-against average, .942 save percentage and six shutouts across 23 regular-season appearances.
He was even stronger in the postseason, going 8-0-0 with a 1.13 goals-against average, .950 save percentage and one shutout while helping the Bruins capture the MU18HL Championship.
German was named MU18HL Goaltender of the Year and MU18HL Playoff MVP, while also finishing the season with the league’s best goals-against average and save percentage.
The 16-year-old also represented Team Manitoba at the 2025 WHL Cup, where he posted a 3-0-0 record, 1.64 goals-against average and .935 save percentage en route to a WHL Cup Championship.
“Logan has been impressive at training camp in each of the last two years and continued to show us what he is capable of during the preseason,” said Rockets General Manager Curtis Hamilton. “We really liked what we saw from him against Kamloops. He has earned this opportunity, and we’re excited to continue working with him as he develops.”
In his WHL Draft Year (2024-25 Season) with the Winnipeg Bruins U15 AAA, German posted an 18-0-0 regular-season record with a 1.18 goals-against average and .950 save percentage before helping the Bruins capture the WAAA U15 Championship.
German will spend the 2026-27 season with the Winnipeg Bruins U18 AAA as the Rockets continue to monitor his development.
