Rockets defeated by Chiefs
The Rockets fell 4-0 to the Spokane Chiefs Friday night at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena in Spokane, Washington.
Spokane’s Jake McGrew (21) scored the lone goal of the first period at 8:02.
Adam Beckman (20) extended the lead to 2-0 for the Chiefs when he beat Rockets starter, James Porter 15:55 into the second period. Roman Basran replaced Porter in net for the Rockets at 16:49. The Chiefs held a 2-0 lead through two periods of play.
Nolan Reid (9) scored early in the third period, giving the Chiefs a 3-0 lead 1:54 into the third period. Spokane’s Adam Beckman (21) scored 1:56 after his teammate, making it 4-0.
Kelowna’s record is now 20-25-4-1.
Basran stopped 15 of the 17 shots he faced in relief of Porter. Porter turned aside 13 of the 15 shots he faced, his record moves to 6-11-2-1. The Chiefs outshot the Rockets 32-25.
