Rocket Recap: Blazers smoke out Rockets
The Kelowna Rockets fell to the Kamloops Blazers 5-2 Saturday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna, BC.
Kelowna was heavily outshot by Kamloops, 47-28. The Rockets couldn’t get their power play going against the third-best penalty kill in the league, they were successful on one out of six attempts.

The Blazers held a 1-0 lead after twenty minutes thanks to Martin Lang (2).
The Rockets killed off back to back penalties to start out the second period. Just as the second Rockets penalty came to an end, Michael Farren and Liam Kindree raced up the ice together, Kindree (3) put away Farren’s pass to tie up the game. Connor Zary (5) pulled the Blazers out in front once again 1:12 after Kindree’s goal. While on the power play, Jake Poole (1) netted his first WHL goal to once again tie the game.

Orrin Centazzo (5) reestablished the Blazers lead 4:07 into the final frame. Max Martin (1) gave the Blazers a two-goal cushion with a power-play marker. Martin (2) iced the game with his second while down a man.

The Rockets record moves to 5-3-1-0.
Roman Basran stopped 42 of 46 shots fired on him, his record is now 5-2-1-0.
