The Kelowna Rockets will head north for their first two road games of the season against the Prince George Cougars on Friday and Saturday night at the CN Centre in Prince George, BC.
Friday’s game will start at 7:00 pm, while Saturday’s puck drop is set for 6:00 pm.
“Bus trips bring everyone together,” said Rockets forward Adam Kydd. “Quite a new faces around so a long bus trip will be good, will make everyone more comfortable.”
Both teams have been out of action since last weekend.
Portland battled back from a two-goal deficit in the third period to force overtime on Saturday against Kelowna, spoiling their home opener with a 6-5 win in extra time. Adam Kydd was originally credited with a five-point night, but the league updated it to four points on Monday. Jari Kykkanen made 34 saves on 40 shots.
Meanwhile, the Cougars split their opening weekend series with the Tri-City Americans. They picked up a 5-1 win on Friday, but then fell 8-3 to the Americans on Saturday.
