Payworks Recap: Rockets falter in loss to Blazers
The Kelowna Rockets were blanked 6-0 by the Kamloops Blazers on Friday night at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops, BC.

The Blazers jumped out to a 2-0 lead just 6:22 into the game with goals from Logan Stankoven (36) and Daylan Kuefler (34) – with Kuefler’s scored on the power play. Logan Bairos’ (3) goal found its way through traffic and past Talyn Boyko.
Kaden Hammell (2) and Kuefler (35) pushed Kamloops to a 5-0 lead towards the end of the second period.
Jari Kykkanen replaced Boyko in net to start the third period. Dallas Stars prospect Stankoven (37) pushed the game to 6-0 with his second of the night.
Boyko stopped 25 of the 30 shots he faced through 40 minutes of action, Kykkanen turned aside six of the seven shots fired on him in the final period of the game.
The Rockets were zero-for-four with the power play, while Kamloops was one-for-four.
Kelowna outshot Kamloops 41-37.
The Rockets will face the Blazers again tomorrow night in their 14th and final meeting of the regular season.
