Payworks Recap: Rockets drop second game to T-Birds
The Seattle Thunderbirds dropped the Kelowna Rockets 7-3 on Saturday night at the accesso ShoWare Center in Kent, Wash.
Kelowna now trails 2-0 in the best of seven series after falling 6-0 in last night’s series opener against the Thunderbirds.
The Rockets were down by a goal when Seattle scored with 34 seconds left in the second to make it 4-2, the T-Birds then pushed out of the gate with another 17 seconds into the third to give them a commanding 5-2 lead.
Reid Schaefer (1) added another Seattle power play goal 5:54 into the second. Mark Liwiski (1) found the back of the net at the midway point of the period, but Svejkovsky (2) tallied another in the final minute of the second.
Rybinski (2) also added his second goal of the game just 17 seconds into the third period. Pavel Novak (1) pulled Kelowna back within two, but Svejkovsky (3) completed the hat trick 1:30 later. Kevin Korchinski (1) added another Seattle goal before the end of the game.

Seattle outshot Kelowna 40-31.
The Rockets were one-for-two with the man advantage, while the T-Birds were three-for-seven.
The series will now shift back to Kelowna for home games one (Tuesday, April 26) and two (Wednesday, April 27), tickets are now on sale at Select Your Tickets.
