Payworks Recap: Giants snap Rockets win streak
The Kelowna Rockets had their six-game win streak snapped on Sunday evening with a 3-2 loss to the Vancouver Giants at Propers Place in Kelowna, BC.
Max Graham and Colton Dach pulled the Rockets within one goal twice, but it wasn’t enough as the Giants pushed past the Rockets for two much-needed points in their race to secure one of the final playoff spots in the Western Conference.
After a scoreless first period, Adam Hall (17) and Zack Ostapchuk (24) found the back of the net under a minute apart early in the second. Max Graham (10) broke a 15 game goalless drought to get the Rockets on the board and pull them within one. Evan Toth (5) responded for the Giants under a minute later to re-establish the two-goal lead.
Midway through the third Colton Dach (28) made it a one-goal game again.
