- Tonight’s Preview: The Kelowna Rockets open a three-game US Division road trip tonight when they face the Everett Silvertips. These two teams met on September 28th, with the Rockets earning a 5-1 win. The Rockets scored three-second period goals in the victory. These two teams close out the seasonal series with a home and home set February 28th and 29th. Last season the Rockets were 1-1-0-0 in Everett, losing 2-1 before earning a 2-0 victory. Following tonight’s game, the Rockets face the Portland Winterhawks in back-to-back games Saturday (6 pm) and Sunday (5 pm). The Rockets next home game is Friday, January 24th against the visiting Seattle Thunderbirds.

- Broadcasters Notebook: Kaedan Korczak serves game one of a three-game suspension for his involvement in the third period of Saturday’s game against Kamloops…The Rockets were fined $3,000 dollars for actions in that game, which featured 18 fighting majors…The Rockets have called up goaltender Cole Tisdale from the Camrose Kodiaks of the AJHL. Tisdale was the Rockets 8th round pick from the 2017 WHL bantam draft and played five games with the team as an emergency call-up in 2017-2018…The Rockets have scored just one power-play goal in their last 22 chances….The teams the Rockets face this weekend (Everett and Portland) have a combined record of 56-17-4-4…..The two teams the Rockets face this weekend feature the top two goaltenders in the WHL in Everett’s Dustin Wolf and Portland’s Joel Hofer. Wolf played for the USA at the World Junior Hockey Championships while Hofer won gold for Canada at the prestigious event….The Rockets acquired Jonas Peterek from the Calgary Hitmen at the trade deadline for a 5th round WHL bantam pick.
