The Victoria Royals will make their last trip of the regular season to Propsera Place on Wednesday night.
It will also be a Fan First Menu night with $2 hot dogs and $5 beers from Lucky Lager. The Fan First Menu is available at all Monday to Wednesday regular season games.
Kelowna will hit home ice for the first time since January 26th, they’ve been on the road for their last four games. Most recently the Rockets headed to the United States where they handed the US Division leading Portland Winterhawks a 4-3 loss last Wednesday, knocking them out of the top spot. The two met again on Friday night, where Portland then downed the Rockets 11-1. On Sunday the Rockets were outgunned by the Spokane Chiefs, dropping the game 8-5.
Over the weekend the Royals played the Seattle Thunderbirds in a home-and-home series. On Friday they fell 3-2 in a shootout on the island, they then met again in Kent on Sunday where the T-Birds won 5-3.
The Royals come into Wednesday having gone 2-4-2-2 in their last ten games, while the Rockets have gone 3-6-1-0.
Following Wednesday’s game, the two will meet two more times this season when the Rockets visit the island next Friday and Saturday.

THE LAST TIME THESE TWO MET
The Rockets and Royals last met in mid-November on the island for back-to-back games.
In the first game, the Royals came from behind to take down the Rockets in overtime on November 13. The Rockets led by two goals after the opening period, but the Royals chipped away with goals in the second and third periods to force the game into overtime. Unsuccessful on three power plays in regulation, Victoria capitalized on their fourth-man advantage of the game in overtime.
In the second meeting, the Royals handed the Rockets a 5-3 loss. Marek Rocak put the Rockets on the board first, but the Royals responded with five unanswered goals. Goals from Ethan Neutens and Tij Iginla closed the gap, but it wasn’t enough.
