The Kelowna Rockets will wrap up their five-game homestand with a Wednesday matchup against the Swift Current Broncos at 7:05 pm. It’s the Bronco’s first visit to Kelowna since October 16, 2019.
It will also be a Fan First Menu night with $2 hot dogs and $5-$6 options from Blue Ribbon. The Fan First Menu is available at all Monday to Wednesday regular season games.
Kelowna is coming off a 9-2 loss to the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday at Prospera Place. Falling behind 4-0 in the first period, the Rockets were able to make a 4-2 game before the end of the first 20 minutes. The Tigers then responded with five unanswered goals. Kelowna gave up a season-high five power play goals.
The Bronco’s kicked off their BC Division road trip last Wednesday in Prince Geroge, their results thus far:
- Oct 11 @ Prince George 2-1 loss
- Oct. 13 @ Vancouver 6-2 win
- Oct. 14 @ Victoria 7-2 loss
- Oct. 17 @ Kamloops TBD
- Oct. 18 @ Kelowna
The Swift Current roster features five NHL-drafted players: Connor Hvidston (ANA ’22), Josh Filmon (NJ ’22), Ryan McCleary (PIT ’21), Owen Pickering (PIT ’22), Reid Dyck (BOS ’22).

ROCKETS TO WATCH
- Nineteen-year-old centreman Michael Cicek only needs one more point to match his career high of 12 set last season with Spokane through 41 games.
- Seattle Kraken prospect Caden Price made his season debut last weekend after missing the Rockets first six games with a lower-body injury. In his first two games of the season the 18-year-old posted a goal and three assists.
BRONCOS TO WATCH
- Earlier this week 16-year-old forward Ty Coupland was named WHL Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 15, 2023. Coupland recorded five points (3G-2A) in three games this week as the Broncos went 1-2-0-0 to start a B.C. Division road swing.
- As of Tuesday afternoon, Matthew Ward, a former first-round WHL Prospects Draft pick, leads the Broncos in scoring with fourteen points (4G, 10A) through nine games.

The Kelowna Rockets online 50/50 is back for the 2023-24 season!
The online 50/50 will give fans in Rockets fans located in British Columbia and those who are attending the game the chance to win during every Rockets home game this season. The 50/50 will also raise important dollars for the Kelowna Minor Hockey Association.
Tickets will be available for purchase on all game days starting at 9 a.m. PT and end at the start of the third period on the same day.

LINEUP SHEET + GAME DAY PROGRAM
Printed lineup sheets will not be available at games this season, they can be accessed online by visiting the game day program.
The Game Day Program will be available in the same spot, it comes complete with game notes, stats, team rosters and entry forms for the Rockets intermission contests.
The sheet and program will be uploaded by 3:00 p.m. on game days
