Sockey Day in Red Deer
Sockey Day in Red Deer in partnership with United Way Central Alberta is back this Monday, February 17 at the Peavey Mart Centrium as we take on the Edmonton Oil Kings!
This fun family event brings our community together to collect warm socks for individuals and families in need across Central Alberta.
How it Works
STEP #1 – Get your tickets to the Family Day Matinee game
STEP #2 – Bring new socks to the game or pickup a free pair provided at the door by our community partners.
STEP #3 – Hold onto your socks until the second intermission! Once the announcer gives the signal, throw your socks on the ice.
STEP #4 – Tossed socks are picked up by United Way volunteers. This year we’re shooting to collect 5,500 pairs of socks!
STEP #5 – Socks are distributed to individuals and families in need across Central Alberta through incredible partner agencies.
Game time is at 2 p.m. with doors opening at 1 p.m. Click HERE to get your tickets!
After the game, stick around for the always popular Paint the Ice postgame party, presented by Nova Chemicals! Paint and brushes are supplied. No skates permitted.
