Six Rebels prospects to play at 2025 WHL Cup in Red Deer
Six Red Deer Rebels prospects have been chosen to represent their province at the 2025 WHL Cup later this month at the Marchant Crane Centrium.
Each of the players was selected by the club at the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft. Four have been named to Team Alberta, and one each to Team Saskatchewan and Team Manitoba.
Team Alberta
D – Nolan Wolitski (First Round, 7th Overall)
F – Chace Turchak (Second Round, 30th Overall)
D – Owen Archer (Second Round, 32nd Overall)
G – Chase Nielsen (Third Round, 56th Overall)
Team Saskatchewan
F – Bronx Becker (Eighth Round, 168th Overall)
Team Manitoba
F – Dylan Russell (Fourth Round, 76th Overall)
The Rebels are tied with the Saskatoon Blades and Penticton Vees for having the most players selected to play at the tournament.
The 2025 WHL Cup goes October 22 to 26 at the Marchant Crane Centrium featuring teams from the four Western Canadian provinces competing in a round-robin tournament format followed by playoffs. This year’s tournament features the top players born in 2010, with the majority either selected in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft or listed by WHL Clubs.
