The Red Deer Rebels sent the Regina Pats packing with a 4-1 win on Tuesday night at the Peavy Mart Centrium.
Eight different Rebels earned points on the night as the club for the fourth time in its last five games.
The Rebels also recorded their second win over the Pats in just 11 days. After the final meeting between the two teams, the Rebels skated their way to two victories, while Regina earned one regulation win and one overtime win.
STATS STORY
Beckett Hamilton (RD) – 1 goal
Derek Thurston (RD) – 1 goal, game-winning
Chase Wutzke (RD) – 26 saves, win
HOW IT HAPPENED
Beckett Hamilton broke open the scoring Tuesday as Jhett Larson intercepted the Pats breakout and sent the puck up to Hamilton who slid it between the legs of Regina netminder Kelton Pyne. The former first-round WHL Prospects Draft pick now has 11 goals on the year.

With just over a minute left in the first period, Talon Brigley dug a puck out from the corner, tripped as he circled to the net, but still slipped a backhand past Pyne to extend the Rebels lead 3-0.

Regina’s only tally came in the second period by Keets Fawcett, who capitalized on the powerplay to get the Pats on the board.
In the third, Red Deer would head to the penalty box three times, allowing Regina to stack chances but they could not beat Chase Wutzke for a second time.
Matthew Gard rounded out the scoring with a power play, empty net goal in the final minute.
Red Deer and Regina were even at 27 shots each. The Rebels were successful on two out of six power play opportunities and only allowed one power play goal on six chances.
