Rebels downed 6-1 in Calgary
Three games in three nights came to an end Sunday for the Red Deer Rebels with a 6-1 loss to the Calgary Hitmen.
Samuel Drancak posted Red Deer’s lone goal against their southern neighbours.
The Rebels now head east for three games this week starting Wednesday night in Brandon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Calgary struck first as Carter Yakemchuk sent a point shot past Chase Wutzke for a power play goal just shy of eight minutes into the game.
Tanner Howe made it 2-0 for the Hitmen nearly seven minutes into period two.
Calgary’s netminder, Anders Miller ventured out to play the puck creating a battle in the corner. Brett Calhoon won the battle in the corner to Samuel Drancak waiting to bang in the Rebels lone goal.

Calgary went on to post four more goals from Sawyer Mynio, David Adaszyniski, Oliver Tulk and Connor Hvidston.
Calgary outshot Red Deer 34-18 and was 3-for-5 on the power play while Red Deer was 0-for-3.

Jace Weir (upper), Jaxon Fuder (upper), Kalan Lind (upper) and Ollie Josephson (lower) all missed the game for the Rebels … Calhoon now has five points in six games since signing with the Rebels earlier this month … Wutzke continues to lead all WHL goaltenders in saves and minutes played.
