Rebels announce roster moves
The Red Deer Rebels have made three roster moves today, including the addition of two affiliated players.
#12 Cash Arcand-Vandale (F, ’09) – The native of Saskatoon, SK was selected by the Rebels in round two, 30th overall at the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft. He appeared in one preseason game with the Rebels in September. In 13 games this season with the Warman Wildcats U18 AAA he has seven goal and 11 assists for 18 points.
#15 Owen DeWitt (F, ’07) – From Sicamous, BC, DeWitt has five goals and two assists in 11 games this season with the Camrose Kodiaks (AJHL). He split 2024-25 between the Kodiaks and Langley Rivermen (BCHL) with a combined 13 points in 40 games. In 2023-24 with the Sicamous Eagles (KIJHL), DeWitt led the team in scoring with 50 points in 44 games and was named as the league’s top rookie.
Also today, the Rebels announced that forward Arjun Bawa (F, ’05) has cleared CHL overage waivers and has been released by the club. A second-round pick by the Rebels at the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft, the Vancouver, BC native had three goals and three assists in 22 games in his second stint with the Rebels this season. The Rebels thank Arjun for his hard work and dedication and wish him all the best going forward.
