Rebels acquire Tyson Yaremko from Winterhawks

RED DEER – The Red Deer Rebels completed a trade with the Portland Winterhawks this evening, prior to the 2026 WHL Trade Deadline.

The Rebels have acquired 20-year-old forward Tyson Yaremko from the Winterhawks in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft and a fourth-round pick in the 2028 WHL Prospects Draft (via Moose Jaw).

Yaremko, who is from Saskatoon, SK, was selected by the Swift Current Broncos in round four, 68th overall at the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft. In 106 career games – all but one of them with Portland – he has 47 points (20 goals, 27 assists). He appeared in 12 games this season with Winterhawks, collecting two goals and an assist.
