Power plays dominate as Rebels win 4-3 in Regina
REGINA, SK – It was the kind of game power play coaches love and penalty kill coaches loathe.
The Red Deer Rebels and Regina Pats combined for six power play tallies Friday night as the Rebels won a thrilling 4-3 decision over the Pats at the Brandt Centre in the Queen City.
The Rebels earned their second win over the Pats in as many tries this season to improve to 6-10-0-2 and pull even with the Pats with 14 points on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rebels got things going early as Talon Brigley tipped home a power play goal just 2:20 into the opening period.
Regina replied early in period two as Keets Fawcett snapped home his first of three power play goals on the night at the 6:21-mark.
Red Deer took a two-goal lead early in period three on quick goals from Brigley (his 50th career tally) and Samuel Drancak, who ran his career high goal scoring streak to four games with a power play goal from the slot.
Fawcett scored again with just over five minutes left to play to bring the Pats back within a goal.
But Ty Coupland ripped home a power play marker two minutes after that to give the Rebels their second two-goal lead of the period.

After the Rebels were called for a high sticking double-minor Fawcett capped off his power play hat trick with 25.5 seconds remaining. That’s as close as Regina would get as the Rebels killed the clock for a 4-3 win.
Regina outshot Red Deer 36-26 in a game where both teams were 3-for-6 on the power play.
Shore was superb in net for the Rebels as he made big save after big save, particularly in the final two periods, to earn his first win of the season.
