HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rebels went chance-for-chance with Lethbridge through an evenly played first period until the momentum swung in a big way when Red Deer was called for a double-minor late in the frame. Lethbridge scored twice on the four-minute man advantage with Leo Braillard and Brayden Edwards each scoring their 21st goal of the season. Lethbridge led 2-0 through 20 minutes.
Neither team scored in another evenly played period in the middle frame.
Déjà vu proved fatal for the Rebels to start the third period as Lethbridge again scored during a four-minute power play. This time it was Brayden Yager zipping home his 20th goal of the season and third point of the game for a 3-0 lead.
Carsen Adair scored an even strength marker past Chase Wutzke about 10 minutes later to round out the scoring on the night.
Lethbridge outshot Red Deer 28-25 and was 3-for-5 on the power play while the Rebels were 0-for-1.
