Final Rankings list.<\/p>\n Daxon Rudolph: #5 among North American Skaters<\/strong><\/p>\n Rudolph blossomed in his sophomore WHL season, leading the Raiders in scoring. Playing in all 68 regular season games, the Lacombe, AB product scored 28 goals, tying Josh Morrissey\u2019s franchise record for goals in a single season by a defenceman. He also recorded 50 assists, finishing the year with 78 points. He also leads the team in playoff scoring so far, with 12 points (5-7) in nine games.<\/p>\n Michal Orsulak: #2 among North American Goaltenders<\/strong><\/p>\n Selected in the first round of the 2025 CHL Import Draft, Orsulak has been exactly what the Raiders were hoping he would be in the crease. In 36 regular season appearances, the Tremosna, CZE product logged a 28-4-3-1 record, going along with a league best 2.22 GAA and a .907 SV%. He already has three shutouts in the playoffs, nearly tied with his regular season total of four. In nine playoff starts, Orsulak owns an 8-1-0-0 record, a 1.55 GAA, and a .919 SV%.<\/p>\n Jonah Sivertson: #53 among North American Skaters<\/strong><\/p>\n In his rookie 17-year-old season, Sivertson shone offensively. 24 goals, 29 assists, 53 points. That led all Raider rookies in scoring by 12 points. His +46 rating also ranked third on the entire team.<\/p>\n Benett Kelly: #107 among North American Skaters<\/strong><\/p>\n Kelly enjoyed a solid defensive season in his rookie year. The Cochrane, AB product scored five goals and added 19 assists for 24 points, but his more noticeable play came on the defensive side of the puck. His +49 rating was second best on the team, and eighth in the entire WHL.<\/p>\n Alisher Sarkenov: #149 among North American Skaters<\/strong><\/p>\n Sarkenov was Prince Albert\u2019s second round pick in the 2025 CHL Import Draft, and he brought a spark to the lineup right away. He scored his first WHL goal in his second WHL game, registering four points in his first three games. He finished the season with 41 points (21-20) in 47 games, and has six points in nine playoff games.<\/p>\n Riley Boychuk: #162 among North American Skaters<\/strong><\/p>\n Boychuk doubled his point production from his rookie season in his sophomore year. After a 29 point rookie campaign, the 2023 second overall pick by the Raiders logged 59 points (15-44) in 2025-26. Impressively, he started the season on a 13 game point streak, recording 16 points in that stretch.<\/p>\n Matyas Man: #176 among North American Skaters<\/strong><\/p>\n Standing at 6\u20196\u201d, it was no doubt that Man\u2019s impact in the lineup would come in the defensive zone. The Ostrava, CZE import was the Raiders\u2019 third round selection in the 2025 CHL Import Draft. He scored twice in the regular season and added 11 assists, while also logging a +27 rating. The Raiders sweep the Blades, and advance to the Eastern Conference Final, where they will take on the Medicine Hat Tigers.<\/p>\n The Raiders got off to about the best start they could have in game four, scoring three straight goals in the opening 6:12. Braeden Cootes scored his third goal in two nights, opening the scoring just 1:10 into the game. After a backhand shot from Linden Burrett was blocked on the way to the net, the puck bounced around in front before it was finally picked up by Cootes near the right corner. From beneath the goal line, Cootes banked a shot off the back of Evan Gardner and in. He was credited with his fifth goal of the postseason, giving Prince Albert an early 1-0 lead.<\/p>\n With 15:06 to go in the first, Maddix McCagherty got on the board with his first goal of the playoffs. All five Raiders on the ice had a touch on the goal, starting with Benett Kelly playing the puck down low from the point. He found Owen Corkish down low, who fed the puck to the high slot to Max Heise. Heise swung it to the right point for Brock Cripps, who let a shot go from the right wall. The puck deflected off McCagherty and in, as he was somehow able to get a piece of it with Jack Kachkowski standing in front of him. The friendly bounce gave the Raiders a 2-0 lead, as they came out firing on all cylinders.<\/p>\n Less than two minutes later, Matyas Man gave the Raiders a 3-0 lead. After scoring two goals all regular season, Man found the back of the net for the second time this series. Taking a pass from Riley Boychuk, Man skated from the blue line all the way down to the net with the puck, angling towards the left circle. The defenceman worked his way around two Blades in the circle, and lifted a perfect shot short side over Gardner\u2019s right shoulder. The goal forced Saskatoon to take their timeout, looking for something to stop Prince Albert\u2019s early momentum.<\/p>\n The break worked for Saskatoon, as they scored 23 seconds after Man\u2019s goal. David Lewandowski fired the puck on goal, and got a friendly bounce, as it deflected off a Raider. The puck snuck past Michal Orsulak through his five hole, as Lewandowski was given his fourth goal of the playoffs to make it a 3-1 game.<\/p>\n Daxon Rudolph restored Prince Albert\u2019s three goal lead with 2:57 to go in the first. Aiden Oiring teed him up for a one timer, and Rudolph pounded a shot that Gardner stopped. The puck trickled through the Blades goalie however, and was rolling slowly towards the goal line. Before a Raider could get to it, Blades defenceman Jordan Martin finished the job, as he put the puck into his own net. Rudolph was credited with the goal, his fifth of the playoffs, as the Raiders took a 4-1 lead into the second period.<\/p>\n The Blades came out firing in the second period, outshooting Prince Albert 16-9 in the middle frame. In the final 10 minutes of the period, Saskatoon got on the board twice to make it a one goal game. Hunter Laing made it a 4-2 game, as he banged home a rebound right in front of the net. After Orsulak couldn\u2019t cover the puck up, a couple of Blades were looking for it, and Laing circled around the net, coming back in front and poking a shot five hole.<\/p>\n With 4:30 to go, Saskatoon\u2019s captain scored on the powerplay. Tyler Parr leaned into a hard shot from the high slot, after wheeling all the way around the left circle with the puck. The 20-year-old beat Orsulak blocker side, scoring his fourth of the playoffs to make it a 4-3 game.<\/p>\n In the final minute of the frame, the Raiders stalled Saskatoon\u2019s momentum, scoring to make it a 5-3 game. With 57 seconds left, Max Heise arrived. He dug up a loose puck between the benches at center ice, and displayed his speed down the left wing. Heise beat Garnder top corner with an absolute laser of a shot, scoring his first goal of the postseason. The goal from Heise was huge, as it gave Prince Albert a 5-3 lead heading into the third period.<\/p>\n The Raiders were able to keep the Blades off the scoresheet in the third period, including the final moments with Saskatoon\u2019s net empty on the powerplay. Both Man and Justice Christensen pinned the puck along the boards in the final minute of the game to wind the seconds down, and Orsulak came up with some big saves at the end. The Raiders knocked off Saskatoon by a 5-3 final, sweeping their second round series against their bitter rivals.<\/p>\n Up next: the Eastern Conference Championship. Prince Albert will host the Medicine Hat Tigers with a spot in the WHL Championship series on the line. Whether a fan has been loyal to the Raiders since they first started playing in Prince Albert, or if it\u2019s a fan that is in their first season cheering for the Raiders, everyone has been bringing the energy to the WHL\u2019s hardest building to play in.<\/p>\n During the pregame show at the Raider playoff games, those two kinds of fans are represented by two of the people welcoming them into the game from the carpet on the ice. First Raider fans are brought the energy by new Raider fan and in-stands host Owen Pearson to make some noise, and then just before the puck drops fans hear the voice of long time Raiders billet and anthem singer Carole Ring.<\/p>\n Starting with Ring, she first started singing the anthem somewhere around 1973-74 by her own recollection, but took a few years off in the mid-nineties. During the 2019 championship run, she was brought back in and sang the anthem for every game, and so when she was asked to sing again here in 2026 to try and capture that same magic, she had instead had to laugh a bit.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, I laugh because it\u2019s a superstition that holds no water.\u00a0I mean, the boys play, they don\u2019t care who\u2019s singing the anthem, providing it\u2019s not a slow one because they\u2019re anxious to get playing.\u00a0I get a lot of comments from different people, but it certainly has nothing to do with me singing it.\u00a0But hey, if you want to be superstitious about it, OK, I\u2019ll sing every one.\u201d<\/p>\n While Ring has been around the Raiders organization since its inception in 1971, Pearson is in just his first year calling himself a \u2018Raider fan\u2019, and has only lived in the city for eight months. Originally from Calgary where he also went to Mount Royal University, Pearson came to Prince Albert straight out of college for his first gig in radio, and the 900 CKBI afternoon host would end up in front of the Raiders crowd hosting within his first week of living in Prince Albert.<\/p>\n \u201cEverything actually all happened real quick. I think my first Raiders game was my first week in PA, and my mindset at that time was kind of just, \u2018let\u2019s say yes to everything, new opportunities, new people\u2019. I love hockey, always have. So getting involved with the WHL and the Raiders, I think overall was a no-brainer. Let\u2019s get in front of the crowd and let\u2019s see what we can do.\u201d<\/p>\n While Ring and Pearson are both very different people with different approaches as to how they get the crowd going, the energy they bring to the Art Hauser Centre is the same. Both of them have different approaches to getting ready for their performance at the beginning of the game.<\/p>\n For Pearson, it\u2019s about getting the vibes high before trying to inspire a crowd to blow the roof off the building.<\/p>\n \u201cEvery single day I drive to the rink, I always throw on Eminem\u00a0\u2018Till I Collapse<\/em>. I\u2019m telling you, just ripping down 6th Avenue, rolling into the Art Hauser Center with some Eminem is just the way to go.\u00a0And then I\u2019ve done almost every single game now since the start of the season, and still, it\u2019s normal, that first walk out, a little bit of nerves, a little bit of jitters, and then once I get through whatever the script\u2019s talking about, and the vocal chords start going and I start hyping up the crowd, by that point, I\u2019m ready to go. I think that\u2019s the best part about it is just getting ready to get people going.\u201d<\/p>\n For Ring, her approach to getting ready for the anthem is a little more calm and routine.<\/p>\n \u201cI make sure I go to the bathroom first,\u201d Ring stated with a laugh. \u201c\u2026and that my phone, the ringer is off on my phone.\u00a0Other than that, nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n Ring added she doesn\u2019t really get nervous with the crowd watching her, but she does feel something when the games start to get bigger audiences outside of Prince Albert.<\/p>\n \u201cIt bothered me\u00a0during the playoffs when I knew that it was being televised everywhere. Other than that, I know there\u2019s going to be 2-3,000 people there, I know that when I sing at church every Sunday, there\u2019s 400.\u00a0I mean, the number of people there doesn\u2019t bother me, but are we going to win does.\u201d<\/p>\n Both of them agree though that what makes the atmosphere at the Art Hauser Centre so special are the people filling the seats.<\/p>\n Ring stated, \u201cIt\u2019s the people.\u00a0It\u2019s their reaction.\u00a0Like I find it so electrifying during playoffs. They tend to be a little quiet during the year, but in the playoffs, they really turn out and they get noisy and they get a little rowdy and it\u2019s all good, but I love the liveliness and the electricity.\u201d<\/p>\n Pearson added, \u201cI think coming from a big city where I could go a month, let\u2019s say, where I meet a new person every single day, whereas you come to PA, you\u2019re gonna start remembering names.\u00a0You\u2019re gonna start knowing the community a little bit more, recognize faces, which I have a little bit.\u00a0I think it\u2019s just the fact that it is such a\u00a0diverse, but also very similar community if that makes any sense, when it comes to what we appreciate out here in PA.\u00a0Overall, I think that I\u2019m still learning how to be involved, but I\u2019m seeing it from the outside in on how it\u2019s done.\u00a0Just people connect, people know each other.\u201d<\/p>\n After the pregame festivities are done, Ring and Pearson go in separate directions. For Ring, she heads back to her regular seat that she\u2019s been watching games from since the 70s, fist bumping friends in the crowd along the way, and finally back to her seat where she says \u2018it\u2019s time to yell\u2019 and become a member of the crowd she just finished firing up.<\/p>\n For Pearson, he gives one final yell out to the crowd as the puck drops, then moves around the building as the ring leader of the rowdy Art Hauser Centre, working with the Raiders production staff to coordinate giveaways throughout the night and keep the energy high through the rest of the game.<\/p>\n While Pearson has done all five playoff games this year, he spent the regular splitting shifts with the likes of two Prince Albert locals in Sarah Tweidt and Dakota Favel. While Pearson has been the one hosting during the playoffs so far, he\u2019s appreciative for the chance to work with both Tweidt and Favel to help himself get better at connecting with the fans in Prince Albert.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve worked with Sarah a whole lot more.\u00a0I love her energy,\u00a0I love how happy she is, and she knows Prince Albert.\u00a0She knows people.\u00a0She\u2019s obviously been to Raiders games probably her whole life being out here in PA, so she understands the connection side of that, which I really appreciate hearing that from her.\u00a0On Dakota\u2019s side of things, I\u2019ve heard he\u2019s a showman.\u00a0I know he does a whole lot with work and performances, and he\u2019s had a microphone in front of him a long time, a lot longer than I have.\u00a0I think just his energy as well, he knows the area a whole lot, and his vibe is unreal.\u201d<\/p>\n For Ring, she has one thing she hopes to bring in to the crowd as the playoffs continue. She doesn\u2019t mind singing the anthem and will gladly do it the rest of the playoffs if she\u2019s called upon, but she wants to hear the rest of the Art Hauser Centre drown her out.<\/p>\n \u201cI look forward to when I hear the crowd starting to join me on the national anthem.\u00a0I\u2019ll gladly put that mic up in the air and say, \u2018yeah, join me\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n The next home game for the Prince Albert Raiders, if necessary is Game 5 of the Raiders second round series with the Saskatoon Blades scheduled for Friday, April 17.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The energy in the Art Hauser Centre has been on full display in the first five home games of the playoffs so far, generating tons excitement for fans. They took down the Saskatoon Blades 4-0 on Tuesday night at SaskTel Centre to take a 3-0 series lead in their second round matchup.<\/p>\n The Raiders were able to get on the board on their first shot of the game, as Brandon Gorzynski opened the scoring 3:19 into the first. From center ice, Daxon Rudolph sent a hard pass ahead down the right wing to Aiden Oiring. The 20-year-old stopped up along the wall and forwarded the puck ahead to Brayden Dube. From the right circle, Dube threw the puck in front, where Gorzynski deflected it over Evan Gardner\u2019s left shoulder from just outside the crease.
