The Everett Silvertips scored a late game winning goal in the third period to pick up a 3-2 win over the Prince Albert Raiders on Tuesday night, taking a 2-1 series lead in the process. The Raiders will look to tie the series back up tonight, before hosting game five on Friday at the Art Hauser Centre.

2025-26 HEAD TO HEAD (REGULAR SEASON):

November 11, 2025 @ Everett: Raiders win 4-1

RAIDERS WIN SEASON SERIES 1-0

PLAYOFF RECORDS:

Prince Albert: 13-5, Goals For: 75, Goals Against: 45

Everett: 14-2, Goals For: 70, Goals Against: 32

THE DIFFERENCE MAKER:

Julius Miettinen has been all over the puck the last two games, playing a large role in Everett’s back to back wins in this series. The 20-year-old Finnish import scored the game winning goal with 4:28 left in the third period in game three, and had points on four of Everett’s six goals in their game two win. Altogether, Miettinen has seven points in the WHL Championship Series, and is a forward the Raiders will need to shutdown in game four, along with the rest of the Silvertips’ first line.

LEADERS LEAD:

Raiders captain Justice Christensen is doing his part in the WHL Championship Series. The 20-year-old has a point in all three games, with goals in the first two contests, and an assist on Ben Harvey’s goal last night. Christensen has 12 points in 18 playoff games in 2026. Braeden Cootes also has points in all three games to start the series, with a two point night in game one, and one point efforts in games two and three. The same can be said for Brock Cripps, who has a point in all three games entering tonight.

UP NEXT:

Game five of the WHL Championship series is on Friday night at the Art Hauser Centre. If necessary, game six will be on Sunday in Everett, followed by a possible game seven, also in Everett.
The Everett Silvertips broke a 2-2 deadlock in the final five minutes of game three, as they beat the Prince Albert Raiders 3-2 to take a 2-1 series lead in the WHL Championship Series Presented by Nutrien.

Everett struck first for the third straight game in the WHL Championship Series, as Matias Vanhanen put the visitors up 1-0 with 8:15 to go in the first. Dancing in the offensive zone, Vanhanen skated from the slot to the left circle, sniping a shot far side past Michal Orsulak’s blocker. It was his 11th goal of the season, opening the scoring in game three.

Prince Albert responded with 1:41 left in the first, as they scored a powerplay goal to tie the game. At the blue line, Braeden Cootes and Brock Cripps exchanged passes. Cripps dealt to Cootes at the left circle, and Cootes send a one touch pass to the left circle for Max Heise. Locked and loaded, Heise ripped a one timer past Anders Miller, scoring his fourth goal of the playoffs, tying the game at 1-1 after 20 minutes.

Just 1:59 into the second period, the Raiders grabbed their first lead of the game, as rookie forward Ben Harvey tipped a shot home. Maddix McCagherty dropped the puck along the wall to Justice Christensen, who wheeled with it up to the top of the left circle. The Raiders captain fired a shot on goal that Harvey deflected on the way, beating Miller over his right shoulder. Harvey got on the board for the fourth time this postseason, putting the Raiders up 2-1.

This time it was Everett’s time to tie the game late in the period, as they scored with 1:53 to go in the second. From the blue line, Silvertips defenceman Luke Vlooswyk scored his first goal of the playoffs, firing a shot past Orsulak through traffic to make it 2-2.

The game would be tied heading into the third, although the Raiders would need a big penalty kill to start the third, as they were shorthanded with Everett on a five on three man advantage.

The game winning goal came with 4:28 left in the third period, as Julius Miettinen came up clutch for the Silvertips. After Orsulak made an initial save, Miettinen followed up on the rebound, backhanding a shot over Orsulak’s blocker, scoring his 13th goal of the playoffs, giving Everett a 3-2 lead.

To make matters worse, the Raiders took a penalty in the final two minutes, putting a major stall into their comeback bid at the end of the game. In the dying seconds, a Prince Albert shot missed just over the net, the buzzer sounded, and the Silvertips came away with a 3-2 win, taking a 2-1 series lead.

The WHL Championship Series shifts to Prince Albert for game three between the Raiders and Everett Silvertips. The Raiders picked up a split to open the series on the road, winning 4-2 in game one, and falling 6-2 in game two. Because of the long travel, the series will now be at the Art Hauser Centre for the next three games, before going back to Everett for games six and seven, if necessary.

In game two, Cripps struck on the powerplay in the second period. With the Raiders trailing 3-0, a one timer from Cripps beat Anders Miller, making it a two goal game. Unfortunately, the Raiders could not make the comeback, as Everett tied the series up with a 6-2 victory.

The Prince Albert Raiders couldn’t manage a comeback on Saturday night, as they fell 6-2 to the Everett Silvertips at Angel of the Winds Arena. Everett’s win ties the WHL Championship Series at 1-1.

Everett scored two goals 2:11 apart to jump ahead to a 2-0 lead in the first six minutes of the game. After two shot attempts by Julius Miettinen were blocked on the way, a third chance presented itself, this time to Carter Bear. From near the left faceoff dot, Bear sniped a shot glove side past Michal Orsulak, giving Everett the game’s first goal for the second night in a row.

Kayd Ruedig scored for the Silvertips with 14:29 to go in the first, finding the back of the net after a faceoff win in the offensive zone. After a bit of a scramble off the draw, Ruedig won the race to a loose puck, and from the right circle he fired a shot through a screen, beating Orsulak over his left shoulder to make it 2-0.

To make matters worse, the Raiders would be shorthanded in the final minute of the first, and Everett made them pay. After two failed clearing attempts by Prince Albert, it was Rylan Gould who capitalized on the man advantage, scoring his fifth goal of the playoffs. A one timer from Julius Miettinen missed wide, but Gould was right beside the post to find the puck first and bury the rebound. After 20 minutes, the Raiders had a big hole to try and climb out of, as they trailed 3-0.

Prince Albert got back to within two just 4:24 into the second period, as Brock Cripps scored on the powerplay. After Daxon Rudolph’s pass to Max Heise in the slot didn’t connect, the puck came all the way to the point to Cripps. The defenceman unloaded a one timer, beating Anders Miller far side, scoring his fourth of the playoffs to make it 3-1.

On a delayed penalty call against the Raiders, the Silvertips restored their three goal lead with the sixth attacker on the ice. After a shot from Miettinen was blockered a way by Orsulak, Bear found the rebound for Everett, and he buried his second goal of the night to make it 4-1. Miettinen picked up his third primary assist of the night, as the Silvertips took a three goal lead into the second intermission.

Justice Christensen made it a 4-2 game with 10:14 left in the third, as he scored on a one timer, but that’s as close as the Raiders would get to making a comeback. Miettinen scored into an empty net to make it 5-2 Everett, and Jesse Heslop scored with one second left in the game on a powerplay, as the Silvertips tied the series at 1-1.

Prince Albert now comes home for three straight games, with game three on Tuesday night at the Art Hauser Centre. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30pm.

The Prince Albert Raiders kicked off the WHL Championship Series with a 4-2 win over the Everett Silvertips on Friday night at Angel of the Winds Arena. A three goal second period, as well as a 39 save performance from Michal Orsulak, played large parts in the victory.

Everett snagged the first goal of the series, as their top line went to work 6:07 into the first period. After a hard forecheck, Matias Vanhanen dug the puck free behind Prince Albert’s net, looking in front for options. He passed to a wide open Carter Bear in the slot, and Bear fired a shot over Orsulak’s shoulder, scoring his fourth goal of the playoffs to make it a 1-0 game. The goal would be reviewed, but the call stood as a good goal.

The Raiders took over in the second period, scoring three straight goals to jump in front. 5:12 into the frame, Jonah Sivertson scored the game tying goal. From behind the net, Braeden Cootes sent a terrific no look feed in front to Sivertson, who dragged and fired a shot under Anders Miller’s blocker. It was Siverton’s third goal of the postseason, making it a 1-1 game.

With the powerplays starting to look a little lopsided in Everett’s favour; three Silvertips powerplays compared to zero for the Raiders, Prince Albert struck on their first man advantage of the night with 4:53 left in the second. Moving the puck around at the point, Daxon Rudolph, Max Heise, and Brock Cripps all exchanged passes. Cripps then fed Cootes in the high slot, and he let a sneaky shot go through traffic that beat Miller five hole. Cootes made it two straight games with a goal, as he put Prince Albert up 2-1.

With the game at four on four in the final three minutes, Raiders captain Justice Christensen put his club up by a pair. Brayden Dube made a nice stick lift along the wall, and fed the puck across the ice to Rudolph. Quickly, Rudolph sent the puck back across to Christensen, who unleashed a Juice Bomb, ripping a one timer over Miller’s right shoulder. Christensen’s second goal of the playoffs gave Prince Albert a 3-1 lead heading into the third period.

It was a defensive third period for Prince Albert, who was outshot 13-5 in the final 20 minutes. They were able to kill off the first 17 minutes, but the Silvertips got back on the board with 2:09 left. On the powerplay, Julius Miettinen barreled his way down the right wing into the offensive zone. From the right circle, he beat Orsulak with a backhand shot on the blocker side, making it a 3-2 game.

With the pressure now on Everett to try and tie things up with the net empty, the Raiders forced a turnover in the high slot. Aiden Oiring shot the puck the length of the ice, burying an empty net goal for his eighth marker of the postseason to make it 4-2. That’s how the score would stay after the final buzzer, as the Raiders skated away with a 1-0 series lead.
